PSA: CloudFlare Virtual Private Network (VPN) App for Mobile

VPN's are tough to understand let alone implement on desktop and do not even think about mobile. We can't expect non-technical users to know the basics of a VPN, when VPN's are tough even for most developers. But that has changed with CloudFlare's latest product announcement. Aside from the product announcement being incredibly well-written, CloudFlare, in my opinion, has revolutionised the VPN market.
#ELI5, VPN is software that sit between your device and the network it connects to, to make your connections to any website/app secure and private. For any other queries you have on VPN's, head over to this beautifully explained post by CloudFlare.
In the words of CloudFlare's CTO John Graham-Cumming, "Most VPN software, frankly, is awful. Using a VPN feels like a step backwards to the dial up era of obscure error messages, slow downs, and clunky software. It really doesn’t have to be that way."
I'm a big believer in keeping the internet Safe, Secure, Private and Open. I've dabbled with VPN's for a while and even contemplated purchasing one but that didn't reach any conclusion. Most VPN's I've tried are clunky, non-intuitive and terribly slow. But with CloudFlare's 1.1.1.1 and Warp product, all of that changes. I've installed 1.1.1.1 and signed up for Warp access but within just a day, my data speed on mobile (iOS) has actually improved. Didn't think that would happen on my Vodafone (India) network.Obviously, will be tracking 1.1.1.1's performance over the next few weeks.
Until then, do yourself a favour and install the 1.1.1.1 iOS and Android app. Actually, don't just install it, read this post first to understand why you even need a VPN.
